II LUNCH DISCUSSION, WITH PACO CLOS; “INFORMAL BY MARC GASCONS”; MÁLAGA CF – FC BARCELONA

The II Lunch Discussion has been held at the Restaurant “Informal by Marc Gascons” in the luxurious “Hotel The Serras” where the members of the Penya Gastronòmica Barça has watched the macth Málaga CF – FC Barcelona by TV.

As it happens when our Penya organize this type of activity, it has been invited one former player of football team, on this case the great PACO CLOS, player of FC Barcelona between 1982 and 1988 seasons.

This strong forward, very good goal scorer, played with very important players such as Diego Armando Maradona or Bernd Schuster for instance, and he won one Spanish League, the “Liga” also called the Liga from Venables (the coach on that time) or also called The Liga of “Urruti t’estimo” (Urruti I love you), the goalkeeper of FC Barcelona who stopped a penalty the same day they won the League. He came back a hero.

Paco Clos has been very kind and open-minded with all the participants explaining all type of anecdotes.

The lunch has been very tasty and delicious with the cooking of the chef Marc Gascons. A very rich and balanced menu with octopus salad, roast beef toast, sausages rice, “turbot” fish, chicken balls, etc.

Furthermore, a very good selection of wines from “Celler Abadal” from the DO Pla de Bages; the white wine with Picapoll grape called “Abadal Picapoll” and the red wine called “3.9”.

Before starting the lunch discussion, all the participants have shared some time with the friendly beer of our Penya, the Inèdit from Damm, and also the Cava Llopart called Integral.

At the end of the lunch, the members of the Penya Gastronòmica Barça joint to Paco Clos have watched the match where Barça has won 1-2 with goals of Munir and Leo Messi.

Not a very good football match, but it has been a very comfortable afterlunch where all the participants have drunk different cocktails meanwhile they have been following the match.

The Penya Gastronòmica Barça loves very much welcoming former players such as Paco Clos, thanking to him and also the Agrupació Barça Jugadors.
