London – Manchester / Manchester City-Barça at “Etihad Stadium” Round 16 “Champions League”

The first trip of the “PENYA GASTRONÒMICA BARÇA” has been to London and Manchester, with the maximum competition of “Champions League” and the match Manchester City – Barça at “Etihad Stadium”.
Eight members of the PGB have travelled first to London and after to Manchester.
In London, the gastronomic proposal has been entirely successfully visiting high level restaurants; first “The Ledbury” at Notting Hill, with 2 Michelin stars and chosed the 10th restaurant of the world by the “Restaurant” magazine.
Secondly, a wonderful menu was executed at “Dinner” from Heston Bluementhal at “Mandarin Oriental Hotel”, with 1 Michelin star and considered the 5th best by “Restaurant” magazine.
Both restaurants have fantastic wine lists and better sommeliers.
There was time to visit also in Mayfair the excellent wine shop “Hedonisme” and also the cigar shop “Sautter”, very close one of other.
Furtherly, the best gastronomic places of “Harrod’s” and “Bar Boulud” at “Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
For the lunch before travelling to Manchester, incredible experience at “Yauatcha”, at Soho, with very superb selection of “dumplings”.
But probably, the best visit in London has been to “Sipsmith” Distillery with the genious and “Master Distiller” Jared Brown who has explained and showed his distillery in a humble garage of Chiswick.
He has also mixed delicious “Dry Martini” , “Negroni”, etc.

After the gastronomic tour in London, the members of PGB went to the “Etihad Stadium” to live the fantastic match of against City; it was an anecdote the failed penalty by Leo Messi at the last minute of the match.
The spectacle was incredible, like all the gastronomic trip.
