Date: 15 Jul 2015
Cat: Kitchen workshop

The first Culinary Workshop of the Penya Gastronòmica Barça has been a success due to the eleven members of our Penya enjoyed, learnt and shared a great experience thanks to the chef Carles Tejedor and also the ESHOB school with his team.

The menu of this session has been around Ibiza island cooking, with the menu such as follows:

  • Tomato salad.
  • “Bullit”.
  • “Bullit” rice.
  • Sangria with fruits and dry “ensaimada”.

The “bullit” is a typical meal in Ibiza, rather a fishermen meal, consisting in cooking the daily fish with potatoes and some vegetables. It is cooked a broth with this type of meal, that after filtering is used to cook a simple but fantastic rice.

Both “bullit” and rice can improve their taste with typical sauce known as “allioli” (garlic and oil).

This type of workshop is very funny and dynamic, which allows interact and taste all the meals are cooked in the same place within a casual way.

As cooking home, all the members are cooking meanwhile drink beer or wine, on this case Inèdit beer from Damm, Gramona III Lustros and L’Origan Rosé cava, and Mandolas Oremus 2010 from Hungary.

Finally, the president of PGB Pere Duran delivered to the chef Carles Tejedor the apron of our Penya and thanking his collaboration and also from the school.
